Synchronized Swimming
The Stoneleigh Synchronized Swimming Team is a nationally recognized summer program in existence since 1953. Synchronized swimming is a demanding sport that requires a unique combination of body strength and agility, grace and beauty, split-second timing, musical interpretation, stamina and dramatic flair. Each summer, over 50 girls from ages 8 – 18 develop technique, stamina and teamwork—all skills they use to present an outstanding performance at the end of August, a traditional celebration of summer’s end at Stoneleigh Pool. Coaches Maggie Huether, Maureen Huether and Pat Comber all grew up as participants in the Stoneleigh Synchronized Swimming Show, and have sustained this wonderful activity through many years.
